The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) is providing this net price calculator as a guide to assist in early financial planning for college. It will provide a preliminary estimate of federal, state and institutional aid eligibility, to help families gauge what aid may be awarded.

The portfolio is an important component for scholarship consideration, and students wishing to receive advice about preparing their work should contact the Admissions office for a portfolio review in Chicago or at one of the many events we attend and host across the country [www.saic.edu/ugevents].

To help you complete this process, it would be helpful to have the items listed below.

  • Student and Parent 2013 Income Tax Returns
  • Earnings statements (W-2 forms, recent paycheck stubs)
  • Records of untaxed income (child support, tax deferred retirement plan, contribution to a 401(k))
  • Bank statements
  • Student academic information
    • GPA
    • Standardized test scores if available (SAT/ACT)

Estimates provided are based on policies applicable to the 2013-14 academic year, and are subject to change.
